WHITENING
Regardless of how ell you take care of your teeth, over time some discoloration will gradually occur. This change can be caused by aging, smoking, drinking tea, coffee and red wine or the deterioration of a tooths nerve. We recommend a dentist supervised at-home treatment that can help you whiten your smile. While this procedure will not prevent any future discoloration, it can bring about whiter teeth. We make a custom mouth tray from a mold of your mouth. This tray will hold a gel made from carbamide peroxide and will be worn daily for a specified amount of time. Within two weeks results are seen. Touch ups are done when needed. It should be noted that these treatments will have no effect on artificial agents such as crowns, veneers or bonding materials.
VENEERS
Veneers are custom made tooth colored laminates designed to cover the front portion of the tooth. They are made of many materials, the most often used is porcelain because of its durability and aesthetic value. Veneers are a more conservative alternative to porcelain crowns since they require less of the tooths surface to be removed. They are usually recommended to improve the following conditions: Spaces between front teeth, cracked or chipped teeth, slightly crooked or poorly shaped teeth, permanently stained teeth, worn teeth. With porcelain veneers in place, a patient can expect whiter, straighter and more even looking teeth.
